Changes in Email Stuff
September 2008
Since I started my websites, I have written sometimes that I will personally reply to every email or message that I receive. Due to the increasingly large amounts of emails and messages I have been receiving, and due to now being more than 3 months behind on answering them, I can no longer reply to every message that is sent to me.
This is a hard decision for me to make, as I really like replying to messages from people who enjoy my writing and videos. But because of the rising publicity surrounding my writing, I can no longer commit to answering every message and still be able to write, go to college, and manage my websites.
I will continue to read emails I receive and reply to as many as I can. I will also be frequently visiting the chatroom on TwilightGuy.com, which is the fastest way to communicate with me.
If you send an email, to give your message a greater chance of a reply, please keep these notes in mind:
- I will not forward any messages to Stephenie Meyer or any other author.
- All messages regarding preview chapters of my book will be responded to, but please allow a few weeks for these to be sent.
- Please check the FAQ for questions I have already answered before sending an email.
- If you are contacting me regarding rights or translations of my books, please contact my agent, Richard Curtis, at Richard Curtis Associates.
There may be certain other notes that apply to you that you can find in the usual email policy.
Again, thanks for all the great messages and emails! I greatly enjoy hearing from everyone, even when I don’t reply, and I hope to be able to reply to more messages, faster, without being entirely overwhelmed anymore.
–Kaleb
ADDED: Apologies to all the angry and rude trolls who have emailed saying I am being mean to my readers. But so you know, I currently have over 2500 emails in my public inbox with no reply, not including Facebook, Myspace and Youtube messages. Until I grow three more heads and eight more arms, I will never in my lifetime be able to get fully caught up, and I would rather be able to reply to some than none at all. Thanks –Kaleb
