A Guy Reads Twilight: Chapter 1

- March 27th, 2008 at 4:15 pm by --KALEB NATION-- -

In which I read Chapter 1 of Twilight, and meet a certain person whose initials are E.C. :

I’m certain most guys have experienced the same reaction when they pick it up to find out what all the fuss is about (most likely hiding in the cupboard as they do). Meyers certainly has a hand at jumping right in the story and somehow painting it all in your mind to perfection. But on to chapter 2… :D

You People Can’t Be Serious…

- December 10th, 2007 at 7:10 pm by --KALEB NATION-- -

Please people, you can’t be serious. Obviously someone is spreading this way too far, so for clarification:

A. I am not an actor

B. I am not playing Edward in the Twilight movie

C. I have nothing to do with Stephenie Meyers or her management.

Since this morning, my site has gotten massive hits thinking they have found a leak on who’s playing as Edward in the Twilight films. That post was a spoof and can’t possibly be taken literally. Even people who haven’t even read the books would know her vampires don’t have fangs, and why on earth would an official announcement mention politicians and businessmen on the same line as her main character? Even more so, Stephenie would have been the first to post anything.

I have nothing but respect for Stephenie Meyers and congratulate her on the film. But please go back to the message boards, lexicons and the forums and correct all this insanity that has been spread by overzealous fans.

Kaleb Nation cast as Edward in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight film

- December 10th, 2007 at 2:30 pm by --KALEB NATION-- -

Los Angeles, California, December 10, 2007 - In a shocking and unforeseen move, Kaleb Nation has been cast as the most sought-after male in literary history.

“It was quite a shock,” Kaleb said, upon hearing of being cast as Edward Cullen, the lead character in author Stephenie Meyer‘s wildly popular series of books. “To be cast as Edward was so very…unforeseen!”

The announcement comes shortly after actress Kristen Stewart was announce to play the lead role of Bella Swan, the main character of a wildly popular series of novels by author Stephenie Meyers. Her Twilight series is currently topping the bestseller lists, selling more than even Harry Potter for the past 4 weeks.

At first, Kaleb was hesitant playing a vampire, but later overcame his fear of the changes he would have to undergo in his transformation into Edward.

“It was the teeth,” Kaleb comments. “I was so worried about those- how would I do it? But then I remembered how Cate Blanchett had to grow those ears, and then teeth didn’t seem so hard after that.”

Upon the announcement, Kaleb was whisked away to California, taking time for only one brief press conference, and he is to meet with counselors, directors and promoters of the film shortly thereafter. Another unsuspected attachment to getting the part: the fame.

“I’ve got to walk around with a bodyguard now,” Kaleb says. “Every since that announcement, people have been swarming me- and the only downside is they call me Edward, not Kaleb. They like me as him better than me as me — and the movie isn’t even out! Luckily, Tony and Romano take care of things. I try to let my fans through…”

Kaleb Nation is nineteen. He resides in Texas, where he runs a blog from his website, http://www.kalebnation.com and writes books. This will be his first film. He is very excited about the role.

“Slightly disconcerting, but still great.” he says.

The movie, which begins production February 2008, will be directed by Catherine Hardwicke. Karen Rosenfelt and Greg Mooradian will produce along with Mark Morgan.

Stephanie Meyers Twilight Movie Cast Announced

- November 16th, 2007 at 1:09 am by --KALEB NATION-- -

Stephanie Meyers, author of the famous Twilight books for teens, has just announced the lead character casting for her upcoming movie based on her bestselling books. I am probably the one person left in this world who has never even opened any of them, though with this news I am certainly tempted. The reason I post this while knowing nothing about her books yet is that I have seen an entire drove of Youtube videos of Stephanie’s appearances, mostly to take a look at the crowds. She fills the gymnasiums, that’s for sure.

So congratulations to Stephanie on getting the movie, and to Kristen Stewart (not Kirsten Dunst, as some people have mistakenly believed) for getting the lead role. Read about it at Stephanie’s website . On the same note, has anyone read these books and liked them? Perhaps you could give me a recommendation…

Added November 17, 2007: This article got listed at number 1 on Google for Twilight Movie Cast, one above Stephenie’s own site, and a crashing of hits wanting info resulted. So I will keep this page updated as the info comes in.
