Kyle Park – Baby Im Gone

Kyle ParkKyle Park is much the undiscovered Kenny Chesney of country music right now. He’s got a unique voice, a well-produced sound and a good review from me for his latest song Baby I’m Gone. Usually one to be certainly and surely against any song that has Baby in its title ( a reminiscent avoidance due to the Mandy Moore and Christian Aguilera days I lived through) this track still gains its merits by Kyle’s unique voice.

I hope he doesn’t take this in a wrong way, but if you were to turn Kenny Chesney into a fish, you’d probably get Kyle’s unique vocal style – probably one of his biggest and most unique selling features to radio, since you know who’s singing right off. Many a fish has belted out in tones quite similar, and I can almost see tiny bubbles rising from my stereo speakers. Click the button and hear for yourself.

Kyle and me have a strange and unusual connection, though the tangled web the story weaves is one I shan’t go into. Let’s just say there’s a reason Alone In The Light has been on my player in the right for a good six months… ;)

If you like the clip, you can download the full song for free at his website right now.

Kenny Chesney – Don`t Blink

- August 21st, 2007 at 10:37 am by --KALEB NATION-- -

Here’s a clip of the new song from the upcoming Kenny Chesney album called Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates, out on September 11th. This song is a reasonably good track but still isn’t quite up to the mark of his previous songs, though it will inevitably end up somewhere near the top of country charts since they’re in another jurisdiction of music entirely, ruled by the big names which become immediate hits whether the song is good or not (Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s latest as an example). The song is titled Don’t Blink.

Interesting to note is that I actually saw this guy in concert once, before he was anybody. It was a free show outside a Wal-Mart in the city where we used to live, years ago. He had a sizable crowd for just a parking lot show, but now he’s got entertainer of the year and is one of the biggest guys in the country music biz.

Comment Box: Has anyone ever seen him in concert before or after he was famous? Also, what do you think of the song?
