I found this song on the internet somewhere and have no clue when it came out or how big it was. But if you like Jewel or Ingrid Michaelson, you’ll like this song by Brandi Carlile called Have You Ever:
Slow, quiet music that will stir up Norah Jones and Sarah McLachlan feelings inside you. I have a playlist of slow AC music that is great for a relaxing background noise when you’re tired of all the Fergie’s and Avril’s pounding in your room, and Brandi’s song is now a part of it.

Here’s a clip of a song called The Way I Am by a new artist named Ingrid Michaelson. I don’t know if you’ve seen them, but this song is supposed to be on the Old Navy commercials, or at least were at some time. It’s new and it’s that sound everyone is moving into these days: that slow, AC (Adult Contemporary) music that you can wind down in the evenings with: or in my case, write. If you want to hear the song, click on the button right here:
It is interesting to note that if you’ve ever been inside an Old Navy store, this song will immediately strike you as exactly the type of music they play. One time, I was at the store and I heard a whole list of great songs, but I couldn’t get the titles. So I searched online, and found out that the stores actually get new CD’s every month or so with new music specially picked for the stores to go with their image. I got someone to email me an entire spreadsheet of all the music playlists since 2003 that Old Navy’s had in their stores: page upon page of great AC.
