In case you have been wondering where I have been for all this time, hopefully my new video will help explain things:
The trip went wonderfully, except for a bit of sunburn, caused by hours in my parent’s new pool . Regular blogging should return as soon as I’m caught up on all my backed-up homework.
NOTE: It would be a good idea to go to the video link and click on Watch In High Quality, as the one here distorts the images a lot.

I had the wonderful luck to catch these guys at a concert in Austin, Texas, without even knowing who they were. The band, Athlete, was on tour with Switchfoot, doing the show opening. I remember trying to memorize parts of the songs as they sang them so that when I got home, I would know what to search for so I could get them online. I think their show was even better than Switchfoot’s.
This is yet another great track of theirs called Hurricane, a follow up to their song Half Light, which was also really good. The only thing they could redo is that awful album art.

I dont usually post up indie music, but this one from Texas native Maggie Mcclure deserves a mention. She’s got a good voice and the song is alright. I’m not a huge fan of it, but it gets a few stars, and I’ll leave it up to you to make your own opinions on it. Her voice definitely can hold emotion to it and she’s somebody to watch, so for that she gets a post:
Click the button and see what you thing: it’s Maggie Mcclure with her song What’s It Like.
