“Remember Me” Movie Review [Video]

March 10th, 2010 at 7:47 pm by --KALEB NATION--

I saw Remember Me yesterday, starring Robert Pattinson. The movie was wonderful on all counts, from believable characters to a story that immersed me all the way to the ending that hit like a train (in a good way, the oh-wow-how-did-I-not-see-that-coming, did-that-really-just-happen way). Dramas sometimes tend to lean toward the chick-flicky side but this one balanced the story out fantastically. Make sure you see it in theaters March 12, 2010!

At first I didn't want to see this film at all, because of all the Robert Pattinson-frenzy. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a great actor. But when I saw your review about this movie on Thursday, I changed my mind and saw it on the premiere here in Stockholm, which also was 12/3 - 2010. I didn't really have any expectations when I went to see it. But I was really surprised on how much I enjoyed watching the movie and I thought that all of the characters were very believable. And I didn't expect the ending at all! I have to say that I really liked this movie, so thank you for posting this review, because that was what made me go watch Remember Me!

DEFINITELY avoid spoilers. It'll make the movie that much more enjoyable!
The writer of a popular gossip site known around the world posted the story of the ending (with grave warnings that there were spoilers coming up) so I read it (I'd already seen the movie) but it was wrong anyway! Still gave away the most vital part, but it was wronggg. So what I'm saying is if you HAVE to find out how it ends (though I very much suggest you don't!) chances are, whatever you read online is going to have a lot of wrong details. But yes. Absolutely fantastic!!
  • I agree! I had NO idea what the movie was about or the ending. It was amazing. Avoid spoilers. Srsly.

I completely agree with you, Kaleb.
I went in to the movie not sure how much I would like it, and ended up finding myself fully immersed in all of the characters. It's weird, as an Australian, I didn't make the connection about the movie being set in New York in 2001... But when I said that it was set there in 2001 to my Californian brother in-law, he made the connection instantly! But yes. The ending absolutely shocked me, and I love that it did.
