I have that exact same smoke detector. Have them replace the unit it's self, because trust me, it's not going to stop! ..... I 'm serious.
No amount of batteries will put it to rest. I thought I was going to smash the thing with a hammer for about a week well my landlord tried to get it to stop. How you don't just unplug it, I have no idea...
