You do all the stuff you do....on a PC? *falls over*

We integrated an Apple store into our current technology company shortly after we switched from PC cause we were just so amazed with its features.

My husband literally spent months trying to convince to me switch and when I got my Mac I was quite skeptical and grumbly about it. From the moment I opened it to begin using it, it took me about 24-48 hours to become accustomed to it.

I HIGHLY recommend either VMware Fusion or Parallels immediately upon purchase. This program allows you to literally run your PC on your Mac in it's entirety. Click on the icon for your PC and a window pops up with your PC desktop and all of your PC programs. Most things in your PC can just be dragged out of your PC desktop and onto your Mac desktop. The Mac will convert it to the best program for opening the file. And it runs Windows better than a PC runs Windows.

I never used to make videos like you do all the time, but when I started playing with iMovie on my Mac, I fell in love with video editing and now I LOVE making videos. And talk about website design...iWeb is totally addicting.

I write too and I favor the Mac program 'Pages' over 'Word'. It just works better and easier.

And did I mention that Mac is immune to viruses?

Oh...and for your urges to back up constantly...if you get an external hard drive then you can use the 'Time Machine' feature on Mac which backs up your entire system onto the time machine. You can restore anything you want from any time period on the hard drive. A few months ago we did something to our address book and contact list and in less than five minutes we went into our time machine backup and restored only the address book. Couldn't believe how easy it was.

But ANYWAY...I'll climb off my soap box. *climbs down and hugs Mac*

Get a Mac. They are very simple and much less complicated than PC's. Yes, they are more money, but it is definitely worth it. Your money would be money well spent. I have owned Macs all my life, and have never once had a virus or crashing problem. Macs never get viruses or crash. They have great laptops too because of the multi-touch trackpad. And if you HAVE to work on windows, you can get a program that can switch between apple and windows. You can also get microsoft office, which comes with word, and other things but thats not necessary because they come with pages. iMovie is also very easy to use.

I prefer a PC over the Mac, but can use either one. just have to be adaptable. I'm a pretty paranoid person when it comes to saving my stories. I have my work saved on 2 different external hard drives, printed in hard copy as well as saved on my netbook. Recently just bought another Netbook that will be used exclusively for my writing (disabled the wireless connection). The internet is great but for a PC, it is not the kindest thing in the world.
