The past two Harry Potter movies were rather dark and he portrayed that brilliantly... also the CGI in both films was amazing and would proof of what could be done in Breaking Dawn... he did such a brilliant job that he was asked to not only film one Potter flick but 4!! He would be my first choice but like I said Tim or Chris could do a hell of a job also!! Also not sure if I like the idea of Depp in a Twi movie cuz he has a tendency to steal the scenes with his zany portrayals and that might not be a good thing!!?
