D. J. MacHale: “The Farfield Curse brims with mystery, magic and fun.”
May 17th, 2009 at 8:04 pm by --KALEB NATION--
As we get closer to the 9-9-09 release of BRAN HAMBRIC: THE FARFIELD CURSE, news surrounding the book just seems to keep getting bigger! Already with two wonderful blurbs from authors Kim Harrison and Kaza Kingsley, we now have one more to add: this time, from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Pendragon series, D. J. MacHale!
The Farfield Curse brims with mystery, magic and fun. Kaleb Nation’s wry sense of humor kept me smiling, even while the mystical sparks flew. Get ready for lots of surprises and watch out for gnomes!
D. J. MacHale, Author of The Pendragon Series
D. J. , who not only wrote the enormously popular Pendragon series, is also a well-known television director, who happened to have worked on the show pilot for Ghostwriter, which was my absolute favorite growing up. Who would have thought that he would eventually write a blurb for my own novel?
You can find out more about D. J. MacHale’s books at his website, and more about The Farfield Curse at www.BranHambric.com (where you can read the first four chapters for free). And a huge thank-you to D. J. MacHale for the wonderful review!

Ghostwriter! OMGGG!
I loved that show, too! 'cept I think the series was coming to an end by the time I was old enough to watch and understand it. I watched re-runs on Noggin when I was around 7-ish?
And congrats on the review!
I can't wait for September! Only four more months!

I find it really cool how you share your experience with us. Your excitement becomes our excitement. It's so amazing that you have written a novel and when i read your posts, i get so caght up in them that i feel like I'm the one who wrote the novel, haha. It's definitely pushed me to keep writing and shown me that i could one day actually get published
Thanks Kaleb, for being amazing, and keeping your fans close

Is Stephenie Meyer going to read it? That would be a GREAT way to publicize your book!

I Love the Pendragon books! How cool that you got a blurb from him

I used to LOVE Ghostwriter! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who remembers it. I'm glad to find out other people remember too

Congrats! I also think that having Stephenie do a blurb for your book would be so cool
and ironic since you are also reading her books. =D

This has absolutely nothing to do with your post, just so you know.
) I really love your Twilight Guy blog.
Actually, I wanted to ask you something, and this is the only way I know how.
I've got a problem: I can't seem to figure out how to download the Bran songs (the ones we can download, anyway.)
I've clicked the link and such, but all it gives me is a Quicktime stream…
I'm so distraught! I really want that music to put on my MP3 player…
Does this mean I have to wait until the soundtrack comes out?
(Please say no, please say no, please say no…)
LOL. IDK if i can wait THAT long…
But, thanks in advance to helping this dimwit [pointing back at myself] out. I really appreciate it…
And (brownie points!
I haven't actually read the free chapters of Bran, b/c, usually, once I start a book, I can never stop. It would be torture to have only the first 50 pages for another 130-some days!
Okay, well, I'll stop rambling now…

DJ Machale! I love Pendragon! Not quite as much as HP, but I've been reading Pendragon since 2004 or 2005, they're pretty awesome. The last one came out just last week, it was glued to my hands for a day or so. You should add them to that never-ending list of books you want to read. Anyway, congrats! I'm sure you already know you're awesome and chock full of wry humor but it's just plain fun to hear it from other people.
