Where The Wild Things Are MOVIE

March 26th, 2009 at 10:05 am by --KALEB NATION--

BEST. THING. EVER.

When this movie comes out, I have a feeling I will just sit in the theater for days, watching it over and over and over again. Seriously, I have waited since I was 2 years old to see this as a movie.

I just heard about this last week when I found this poster somewhere on the wild and glorious Internets, which brought me much joy:

Epic Poster for Where The Wild Things Are

Click to see in all its glorious huge epicness

According to the appropriately named WhereTheWildThingsAre.com, it’s coming out on October 16 of this year, which means this project has been kept a secret from me for quite some time. That gives me just enough time to find a Wild Things costume just like Max has in the poster, so I can wear it to the midnight release party :D

I totally have the best monster face

I totally have the best monster face

Question for the comments: Are you going see this movie? Otherwise, what’s your alibi for not going see it (ex: you are deathly allergic to all movies containing monsters and big fluffy suits :D )?

Carter Burwell is co-composing (is that a word?) the music! Cool! I love how everything somehow relates to Twilight.

I can't wait to see this movie!

P.S.: You're monster face is epic.

The trailer is SO CUTE! I probably won't see it in theaters, but I'll grab the DVD when it comes out. :)

LOL I haven't read the book in years, now I have to grab a copy again!
  • Annie
Hahaha! If you look closely at the end credits of the trailer, it says music by Karen O and CARTER BURWELL!! No kidding!!! I swear there is a Twilight connection to everything these days o_O

Totally physced for the movie, although I don't remember much from the book, except that I really liked it :-)
  • At least I'm not alone. It's been so long since I've read this book that I no longer remember it. I have little ones now, so I suppose it's time to buy a copy for them anyway. I don't think I'll be lined up at the midnight release party like you, and I'm quite sure I won't be wearing any costumes, but I'll probably end up seeing it.
  • haha, that is so awesome!!! I am most definitely going to the midnight premiere!!
maybe not in a suit like Max's, but I'll be there nonetheless!!
    =D
  • I've read the book so long ago, that I don't even remember it. Well, at least they have a movie coming out; something I may see if I have the time.

    Ha ha, nice face, Kaleb.

My Mother read this to me and my sisters when w3 were young, this is going to be great!!
  • Why do I have a feeling that you'll fly out here in Ireland yourself and prolly have gnomes attack me, if I tell you that I have no idea what "Where the Wild Things are" is?

*goes off to make sure that she's well hidden*

I realized my mom never read this to me when I was little, so I bought it for my daughter.

It is sooo great. My daughter loves it. When we read it we talk about all the cool things that might have happened during the Wild Rumpus. Since she's two it's usually things like, "they shook their booties," and "they ate cereal."

I definitely want to see the movie! I'm thinking it will be the first one my daughter sees in theaters.
  • this movie rocks.......i definitely am going to see it......i swear it will rock!!!( i dont need an alibi for this do i??):D
  • Josie B.
