Photos from My Trip Home

Last weekend I took a big surprise flight home (the flight I almost got noosed for after forgetting to bring Twilight with me). I hadn’t been on a plane since I was ten, and since I’ve got about 4 flights planned this year I figured it was time to make sure I’m not allergic to heights.

As the plane began to take that leap into the air, I felt this strange thing moving in my throat. Oh no, I thought, Something in my neck is loose and I’ll suffocate when we go faster. Luckily, my esophagus did not close up, I survived the trip up, and had a riotously fun time during my trip. I also discovered that flying is awesome, and I just can’t get enough of turbulence, when the plane suddenly dips to the side and your body screams the whole thing’s going down. Really, it’s like a roller coaster.

On the American Airlines website where you pick your seats, however, they failed to show where the huge, obnoxiously noisy engines sit. I painstakingly avoided the wing for the flight home, only to find myself sitting directly beside engines almost the size of me. It was a wonderful predecessor to listening to the Scarlett Johannson song, I must say.

So there are some of my photos from back at the farm. I took even more than this on video, so I’ll probably have some new Youtubes of Isabelle The Famous Pig coming soon.

  • The picture with the goat biting your fingers cracked me up- i have two nubians who do the same thing. Wait until you have to fly in a six-seater plane- now THAT is a rollercoaster. :) Ever since we did that, my mother absolutely refuses to let me take flying lessons. (She was so terrified that she couldn't even work on a Su Doku.)

Try and get on a Jet Blue flight next time. Each seat has its own tv and stations. It definitely saves you some sanity.

Oh! And Isabelle is cute, too! Can I have her??

Ugh! I hate flying! I started crying the other day when I was going to have to fly on one!
Those baby chicks were soo cute!

    Shawty is adorable :)

And I am quite uneasy about flying. It does feel like a roller coaster, except it's not attached to the ground, and is quite a few million miles higher than a roller coaster.
  • I've flown once, but I was too young to remember. I will be flying in a plane sometime soon, though. I'm looking forward to it! :)

Oh, right, you'd never flown before! I forgot about that...it's fun, isn't it :-)
