And To Top It All Off…

…who would have thought I’d get an email from Danielle Steel this morning, wishing me the best? She’s sold over 570 million books in her lifetime (that’s more than JK Rowling, if you can believe it). If I was in California I’d say I’m stoked :D . It’s certainly a good omen. I am overwhelmed by all the people who sent emails and comments wishing me well on the start of this big writing venture. Thank you everyone!

News is starting to spread already even though they haven’t done the press release yet. I ran across this article earlier today on SF Scope talking about me. Also my agent put up a wonderful announcement on his website over here.

Meanwhile, instead of a blank page the Bran Hambric website now says COMING SOON. My trusty webstats say people are really starting to light up Google and Yahoo with searches for the title and its many misspellings (Bran Hambrick, Brian Hambric, The Fairfield Curse, Hans Bambricks: The Farville Hearse, etc) so I wanted at least something there.

It’s quiet rainy weather here today. I was in The Pub That’s Not A Pub earlier while it was pouring down outside when suddenly the downpour stopped, so instead of eating I decided to make a mad dash for home. Unfortunately, not a quarter of the way back it started up in full force, the demons in the clouds giving little laughs at the poor mortal whose bicycle seat was acting as a sponge and soaking his clothes.

And with all we go through, just look at how they treat us students:

Make us eat in the basement, will you?
