Rihanna- Cry

I don’t usually listen to hip-hop music any further than Fergie, The Black Eyed Peas and perhaps Kenye West. But whenever Timbaland chooses to bestow his production Midas touch on somebody, I usually lend my ear. This track called Cry came in recently from Rihanna, and seeing that Timbaland was involved, I gave it a listen- I like the beats and Rihanna’s voice hits the notes just right.

Follows pretty much her style- I can’t say I like it too much, since I’ve only had it for a week and I already skip it when it comes on. She’s only 19 but already she’s setting the record, recently matching the number of weeks at number 1 set by Whitney Houston back in the day. Unless you live in a mayonnaise jar, don’t frequent malls, avoid radio and abhor television, you will have heard her song Umbrella, which is another song for another time.
