You People Can’t Be Serious…

December 10th, 2007 at 7:10 pm by --KALEB NATION--

Please people, you can’t be serious. Obviously someone is spreading this way too far, so for clarification:

A. I am not an actor

B. I am not playing Edward in the Twilight movie

C. I have nothing to do with Stephenie Meyers or her management.

Since this morning, my site has gotten massive hits thinking they have found a leak on who’s playing as Edward in the Twilight films. That post was a spoof and can’t possibly be taken literally. Even people who haven’t even read the books would know her vampires don’t have fangs, and why on earth would an official announcement mention politicians and businessmen on the same line as her main character? Even more so, Stephenie would have been the first to post anything.

I have nothing but respect for Stephenie Meyers and congratulate her on the film. But please go back to the message boards, lexicons and the forums and correct all this insanity that has been spread by overzealous fans.

Added March 4, 2008 – DEAR TWILIGHT FANS, YOU WILL PROBABLY FIND THIS INTERESTING:

Yes everyone! Kaleb Nation is secretly Stephenie Meyer. Honestly, I'm a little miffed that he didn't tell us all sooner.

Haha, it must suck having people confuse you with a WOMAN that is more than a decade older than you. It also sucks that people couldn't take a joke with that whole " I'm gonna be Edward Cullen" deal.

    Who is Megan? :|

I don't get why people think you're Stephenie Meyer... Seriously, I'm so confused.
  • YouKnowWho
Wait, so you really are Tony Stark?
  • Dianne
LOL It seems you get a bit frustrated with oblivious, ignorant fans. Very sorry about that :)

If it helps any, I don't believe Stephenie Meyer is a nineteen-year-old college student. :)

    Or a werechicken. (??)
  • I do believe that the comments were what caught my attention.

Yes, I always thought that Stephenie Meyer might actually be a nineteen year old young man.

Now, does this mean you are also a vampire? Werewolf-- Werechicken?

  • I give up! I really am! I really am! I just enjoy wasting my time by taking on a fake persona so that nobody can find me. I'm also J.K. Rowling and Stephen King - and Oprah! Tomorrow perhaps I'll try out as being Rosie O'Donnell.

Now please put that camera away. And please, no pop flash. Erm, could somebody help me out here?
  • Kaleb -
First I want to say how disappointed I am that after all this time I have known you, you did not come right out and admit to me that you really are Stephanie Meyer.

I love your books, by the way.

Anyhow, it's great you get to star in the movie made about your books! Wow!!
    Break a leg-

  • Heh. It was more funny to read the outraged comments than to actually read the post. But that's in retrospect... (stealing a word from Sofie.)
  • Well, obviously. That post reeked of hilariousness. ;) I couldn't stop laughing!

But I thought something like this would happen, actually...
