Stephanie Meyers Twilight Movie Cast Announced

Stephanie Meyers, author of the famous Twilight books for teens, has just announced the lead character casting for her upcoming movie based on her bestselling books. I am probably the one person left in this world who has never even opened any of them, though with this news I am certainly tempted. The reason I post this while knowing nothing about her books yet is that I have seen an entire drove of Youtube videos of Stephanie’s appearances, mostly to take a look at the crowds. She fills the gymnasiums, that’s for sure.
So congratulations to Stephanie on getting the movie, and to Kristen Stewart (not Kirsten Dunst, as some people have mistakenly believed) for getting the lead role. Read about it at Stephanie’s website . On the same note, has anyone read these books and liked them? Perhaps you could give me a recommendation…

I haven’t read the books yet, because, when I go to my library, they’re always out! I put a hold on the first one around a month ago, so maybe I’ll eventually get my hands on it.

Emily, you bring up a subject that has plagued me for the past months. What is this obsession girls have with Edward?! I can’t understand this at all. I haven’t read the books yet, though I might, but I am being driven mad with people telling me ‘you haven’t LIVED until you’ve read them! And Oh! isnt’ Edward great?’ It’s almost as if Stephanie has written herself a paper pop star or something. What about him is so great?
And another question: wouldn’t it appear a bit strange for a guy to be reading this book in the bookstore? Would I get curious smirky glances, or are guys reading this book anyway…

Those books are amazing. I’m so glad that Bella chose Edward instead of that stupid mut. I’ve read Twilight 37 times, New Moon 18, and Eclipse 14 times. If you haven’t read these books then your definitly missing out. Vampires are my sort of thing. I’d love to suck the blood out of a person who pisses me off

I love all of those books,they are amazing.I am happy Bella chose Edward they are a great match but Jake is really good for Bella as well.

I think im despratly in love w/ Edward, too. I think every one is in love w/ him becuase they picture him as perfect. Plus he is sooooo polite. I wish I was Bella. She explains me so well. I feel just like her, clumsy, curly hair, the only thing missing is Edward. I agree, you cant live or breath without reading thoughs three book a millon times and never get tierd of them.

My three favourite books on the entire earth! i think the only reason a person in th ebook store would e staring at you if you wer reading this book, would be if it was the last copy, and they were ready to kill you for it! I am inlove with edward too!! make sure you read the books before the movie so you can creat eyour own image of the characters who are absolutly fantastic!

Im 18 years old and started reading them when they came out i have probably read twilight like 12 times and new moon probably about 7 and eclipse 4 and even i can say these books are addicting i don’t know how to explian it but you almost feel like your feelings are her feelings its weird and embarassing at the same time so Just READ the book..

The reason a male should read these books is so he knows how to be for his woman/girl friend. A real man like Edward will never exist(even with out all the vampire stuff) Edward is a true gem.,created in the mind of a woman. A dream come true for all women. I love Edward Cullen!

WOW!!! you know honestly when my friend handed me your book I thought ‘oh geeze. another gushy book for moms.’ bu twhen I started to read it I fell in love!! Bella and Edward are the perfect couple and I love that you can relate to them rather than everything being way to …odd? your books make me wish that I was Bella and all this could come true.

Well for me, I LOVE Edward. Though I dont anything against Jacob. They are both amazing people. If I had my choice of men, it would be Edward. He is charming, HOT, rich, caring, and soooooooo much more. As I said, I have absolutally nothing against Jacob. They are both just looking out for Bella, and they both love her, and she loves both of them. Well if any of you that are reading this and you have not read these books, read them. Your outlook of life does change. And thankyou soooooo much Stephanie Meyer for writting these books. And please continue them as long as you can. (And GUYS dont be embarrased to read these books. They are a work of art.)

OMG!! i have read all three books and I fell in love with all of them. wish I could find my Edward Cullen. He is soooo HOT!!! and polite. Bella sure can pick em. jake just better watch out. In the end of Eclipse i wonder where jake was going. to Bella probaly. They are brilliant books!! I read Twilight in 5 hours because i seriously couldn’t put it down, then i went and bought New Moon and Eclipse the next day…when i finished them, i started Twilight again. Yes they are that good! Who isn’t in love with Edward!? And who wouldn’t want someone as sweet as Jacob in their lives? Can’t wait to read book 4 (and i still have my fingers crossed that she decides to continue after the 4th)!!

I’ve read all three of them. They are not that well written but I think people are just drawn to that vampire love sort of thing. And the entire storyline is pretty good too. The books are quite suspenseful for me and every time I read them, even though I know what’s going to happen, I can’t put the book down. And when I do finish the books, my mind is consumed with thoughts about Edward, Bella, and Jacob. I feel very sorry for Jacob. I think in the Twilight series, Stephanie has captured the emotions of a regular lovestruck teenager very well. I felt so sorry for Jacob that after I finished reading Eclipse, I started dreaming up my own ending to it.

Im like obsessed with edward and jacob…it really is obsessing and i wish it was all real…i want my own edward and jacob. i think everyone does…but thats my opinion.

I think that the movie comming out will not do the books justice!!!!! but i will still go see them, the movie is coming out this year and shooting begins in Febuary. Breaking Dawn the fourth and i think final book will be coming out this fall. I also wanted to note that i want my own Edward Cullen. Thats all!!! Love me!(and Edward)

I was having a fit from reading the those comments. You are truly hilarious. I have little to say. But I do want to mention several things. The Twilight Series is a worthy read. I realize that the movie will not do the book justice, but that goes for all movies that are based on books. In addition, the series is suspenseful, romantic and quite touching. (You might just want to read it. -winkwink-) Haha, moving along, for those who claim to be in love with Edward, I believed of this too. However, it’s finally dawned to me that it’s not Edward that we all love. It’s the IDEA of him that truly captivates us. Huh, anywho, it turns out I had more to say than I thought.

OMG! I CANT believe they’re making a movie out of this. Its gonna be so awesome. I absolutely luv the series. Edward is every girls dream guy: Hot polite rich. Who could ask for more. But the guy they cast for him does not do him justice. But then again wat guy would? And Bella is such a Clutz. Just like me. and kaleb nation you have nothing to worry about. I also have to agree with Ali. Twilight isn’t really the type of vampire story you would normally think of, but definitely a book worth reading. I know you’re worried about people thinking it funny to find a guy reading this book. True, there are far more girls that read the series than guys, but they are there. I went to a signing once here in Seattle, (which is only a couple hours drive from the setting of the story) and among the mass of fanatic girls, I did see some guys.
The best part of the series is that you can feel how each book gets better and better. Some people didn’t like the second book because Edward was only in it for the first and last part, but there were still very interesting…developments in his absence. The third was so good, I can’t even describe it. You just have to read it. I think what you have right now is also the reason I didn’t start reading the Harry Potter books till after the third movie came out. It did get kind of annoying how so many people were telling me how good the books were, so I finally read them. However, I have to say, that in comparison, I find the Twilight series better. But maybe thats just me. But I will vouch for the endless comments on this site; that Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse are all immensely good books. Read them and you will not be disappointed.
P.S. Jasper is part of Edward’s adoptive family. He’s not a love interest to Bella, but to Alice, another member of the Cullen vampire family. She becomes one of Bella’s closest friends. Thats another great part of the books; getting to know Edward’s family.
P.P.S Here’s a couple spoilers: Edward can read minds (though for some reason, not Bella’s), Jasper can change the mood in a room at will (i.e. calm somebody down), and Alice can see bits and pieces of the future. Meet the rest of the family. Please. just. read. it.

I read all these comments on this site they give good point of views in some of them. hell the one about robert playing edward in the twilight movie is not hot enough to play him is correct the movie is gunna have such a bad turnout unless they do some really good special effects to him to make him look better! if you can email or get a hold of someone who is in charge of the movie do it so do it! and tell them how so many people will be dissipointed if they let him play edward.
about you not reading the books hell just put a wig on and go to the bookstore in another town or city where u dont live and get the books! your so curious about it just read it no shame at all. edward is someone everyone thinks is not out there all u have to do is look the guy u picture in your mind is out there somewhere he might not be the perfect edward but he’ll be just as good maybe even better cause he’d be urs and no one else would have him so you dont have to freak that there is no one out there. these books are really really good though and for some reason you do get hooked on them. heck me and my friend read all three of them in three days with litterly not sleeping at all not eating or drinking it was just not on our minds to do those things. o and jacob is a good guy hes not bad he ran away not to bella but somewhere else far away who knows what will happen but everything will end up fine the fourth book is gunna be long and most likely be the final book unless she creates another huge problem. but do remeber the other book she is doing thats from edwards point of view will come out to and that one is gunna be more than like 1000 pages or so and who knows what more she will come up with. and Kaleb im sorry everyone thinks ur Stephenie lol its kinda funny though.

edward is sooo amazing, i dont think there’s a girl in this world who doesnt wish for someone like edward. he’s just so sweet and gorgeous, i cant believe bella even thought about jacob! i think the whole world is getting obssesive over them! i didnt go without anything serious whilst reading the book, just lost all my time for about 4days solid, i’m still catching up on the homework LOL!

You just fall in love with jacob and edward, idk which one id choose… Anyway, these relly are great books, and even if the movie completely sucks, ill still keep waiting for the books, and Stephanie meyers should keep writing them no matter what. They have become my favorite books ever. I cant wait for breaking dawn to come out! Keep writing, and to all those people who are like, “umm…idk if i shoould read the books.” You should! theyre great and once you start ready, you wont want to put the book down, you pretty much get sucked into the story and become one of the characters…

There were a lot of people there, so I didn’t get to say much more than hi, I LOVE your books, and to keep up the writing, but it counts as talking to her, I guess.
There were either two or three different signings in Seattle, and the signing before mine was costume themed. (My other friend went to that one and I later saw pictures-some of those costumes were really elaborate). At the signing I went to there were a lot of homemade fan t-shirts and red ribbons in hair.
Also, similiar to Rose, the afternoon I got my copy of Eclipse in the mail, I ran inside, stashed up on munchies, informed my mom about not bothering me, and then locked myself in my room for the next six hours. When I finished the book at around midnight, I agonized over having to wait a whole year for the next one, went to bed, got up and read it again.
Another thing: I really don’t understand how people could confuse you with Stephenie Meyer; last time I checked, that sounded like a girl’s name.

Even I would show up at a Stephenie Meyer signing just because she is a really cool author, even having never read the books. But I’ll have to wear my ‘Attention Ladies: I Watch Grey’s Anatomy’ t-shirt though…or a Hannah Man-tana wig.

The books freaking epic. My favorite charcter is Emmett(edwards brother) because he is a very funny person. Bella is very random. It would really suck to live in washington for that long without edward. But oh well. Im so glad stephanie is making another book. you can read the first chapter online. Its tiwlight, but in edwards point of view.

wow kaleb i wrote about like several different things in that long paragraph and u focus on something like that instead of on the other stuff ok.now about ur question.
its just like wen u read really good books u just dont think about those things (eating, drinking, sleeping)thats all. and another reason we did that is because we had two weeks to do nothing i wasnt gunna read them but i was bored and they were in my room collecting dust so i started them and ended up loving them. o and u may be a guy but u should be confident about ur masculanity but also about ur femine side. your so curious about the books READ them. and just dont tell your friends u read them haha. just if u do EVER read tem dont go crazy over them (which i doubt will happen lol)

Thanks Rose, it’s just that was the thing that stood out. I mean, if I said I went without meals for three days because I was too busy playing with my iPhone, you’d also think I was just a tad nutty. Also, the rest was simply the same as nearly every other girl in the universe right now.

this is an awsome book i read all of the books in 3 days i love these books they are awsome i felt that i became a vampire as i read them. beacause my room is rather cold it is the coldest room in the house and my skin went pale i am serious. i feel energy drained and i haven’t eaten as much for a while i read them so early into the night from 9:00pm-8:45am Andi’m spossed to go to school at 9:00 the guy they chose was really unlike the edward in the books. melissa agrees i am the #1 fan ever! edward is more my type i guess oh well if he wasn’t a ficton person well is he based of a real person?

I luv edward sooo much! i just hate jacob black. who would like him? edward is amazing and i cant wait to see the movie? i just got the books about 4 weeks ago and i have read twilight 2, eclipse 2, and i am on my 2 time reading new moon!! eclipse is my favorite by far and i cant wait for Breaking Dawn and midnight sun to come out!! I just wish that edward and the cullen family were real!! i have never been in love with fictional characters but there is always a first for everything!!

I have read all 3 books 4 times each! i have just recently gone on vacation over seas to Turkey and was unable to take my beloved books with me.. *tear* but once i get back to the US i’m reading them again!!! ^_^

I absolutely loved these books.. and i never thought it was possible or logical to fall in love with a character.. but i love Edward!! However nothing against robert but I imagined Edward to look different.. more pale and extremely god -like gorgeous.. again nothing personal. But I think Kristen Stewart was a pretty good choice for Bella, I can see how she resembles her. — Kyra

I agree with Kyra; Kristen seems like a really good choice. But no one could really do Edward’s character justice haha, since he’s basically just described as being beyond perfect. I’d assume that’s why most girls, including me, love his character :/
The Twilight books really are amazing; everyone I’ve recommended them to has fallen in love with them. I was especially skeptical since the whole vampire-romance is usually not my style at all. But the story is very engaging and relate-able, since everything is just as new to Bella as it is to the reader :]

oh my gosh i can’t believe they are goin to have Robert Pattinson play Edwardn in the movie he is not the Edward that i was expecting it just kills me!
I can say that i also am in love with Edward he is every girls fantasy!!! and all the books are great its like you are right there when all of this is going on. And every body says that they could read the books 5-10 times and never get bored but once the ending is done and you alredady know what has happened so it isn’t really all that exiting any more.

these books are really captivating and really well written. i love edward with all my heart!! him and bella are perfect together! jacob is sooo sweet, so since edward is already taken (sobs) i totally would go with jake. he’s one heck of a second choice. poor bella, idk how she could deal with making that decision!!! but i think she definitely made the right choice, but i felt bad for jake still.

Wow… there really are a lot of obsessed fans here. I’ll admit, however, that I’m infatuated with these books. I love them, and I cannot wait for either the movie or the next book. But seriously people, Edward is not (I repeat NOT) real. [dodges all flying tomatoes and/or dangerous objects] Sure, he’s every girl’s dream, but he’s fictional.
P.S. I’d also like the state that I think those who believe Jacob is best suited for Bella haven’t noticed something extremely vital to this decision. He didn’t imprint on her, so that clearly means they’re not meant for one another.

I’v read the entire series(so far)and I can’t wait for the next book.Edward is by far the best charactor in the book.I’m with that Janiceee girl.Edward is perfect but not real*sigh* such a shame. Bella is so cool.I think Kristen Stewart is the perfect Bella.I hope the make movies for the other books too.I’ve tried to get my bff to read the book. She read half and then siad she got bored!How dare she!Let me tell u,Sarah,I respect your oppinion about the book,but maybe u should read more than just a few chapters and get to the part where the action comes in. Whwn I first read the book,I was bored in the begining, but as I read on,It got alot better,and suspensfull.I love Edward’s conditiion in Eclipse(du dum du dum)hee hee!I never thought Bella & Jacob were good for each other. Nice thinking Jaocb,Bella will sure have a normal life dating a wearwolf(nothing against the species)!I haven’t watched a single vampire movie since last year when I watched Van Hellsing on tv.This was such a great book and iy’s gonna be a great movie.The cast is great! Im going to have like a conniption until breaking dawn comes out. not all that excited about the movie because i prefer to imagine the characters in my head. edward, jasper, jacob and all them people are soooo much hotter in my head. I read the book (finally!!!) after seeing it around my school for like a month and i was interested becuz i read the back. vampires are like my obsession. but the day after i finished twilight i immediately went to get new moon and eclipse and had a spaz attack every time someone wanted me to do something and dared interrupt my reading. lol such a good book. robert pattinson really isnt ALL that bad. his pics are kinda crappy but i saw him HP4 and was like wowzers he is fine. so yea.

So are you finally going to read the books Kaleb? I see that you have been commenting on your site since November, and constantly asking about Twilight, so why don’t you just read them? It’s fine for a guy to read the books. I’ve seen guys read them, and like them, too. I highly recommend them! You can’t fully appreciate them without first reading them, no matter how much you discuss them with obsessed fans. By the way, so you know, Edward does have faults, people just tend to overlook them.

Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse are three fantasticly written books. I don’t think I can even begin to put words together for how much I enjoyed them. She has basically uped the standards for men in general, Edward is definently one of a kind(obviously a kind that is outrageously gorgeous). Stephanie Meyer describes Edward so well that he fits every girls idea of a “perfect man”.

WOW I just finished reading all the posts and sum of u r a little too obsesive, tho i dont think i can say that cuz ive been worse with plenty of other books. But I agree with the few others who have pointed this out, Edward is a fictional character and its good u like the idea of him but u really gotta get grip. And this may sound mean, but it doesn’t really matter if this rob guy doesnt look like edward it all depends on if he can act like edward and there is no picture of the edward from the book so maybe thats how meyers pictured edward to look like. I just finished the series last night and i agree its a really good book and the series definetly makes the top 10. well thats all i got to say.

Honestly, Edward’s great, and I love him too, but I agree people need to realize he’s not real (no matter how much we wish he was). Personnally, he’s not even my favorite character, as he is for most. I like Alice. She’s the most interesting.

All three books in the series were excellent and worth reading an infinite amount of times over. My friends and I plan on getting Breaking Dawn in a group of about 20, and when Twilight is released, some of us will be driving at least 3 hours just to see the midnight premiere together. Yes, Edward is a figment of someone else’s imagination, but he’s a pretty nice figment, and definitely fun to daydream about.
And something no one else seems to have mentioned – I cannot wait for Midnight Sun to become a reality. I loved the first chapter, and I want to read the rest! Anyone with me?

I can’t totaly wait for the movie or the next book like lol i am so into this series! I just don’t think they really picked the right characters for Rosealie, Carlisle, Jasper, Emmit, or Edward. They just don’t fit the bill but i’ve heard they are all good actors/resses so they should still make the movie a total hit!

nodda geek- im 13 and it took me about 5 hours each to read the series. i dont think our age really matters
my library at school and the public one have a waiting list of like 44 people for the 2nd book its crazy. like i said before the looks of the sctors will be different when they have makeup and all that shiz on but it doesnt really matter wat they look like as long as they act like the character. I mean if they found sumone who was the ideal edward in looks but couldnt play the role i think that would ruin the movie even more.

I have to agree with almost everyone who posted a comment; these books are amazing. so amazing in fact i think they may actually be better than the harry potter series (and thats a huge compliment coming from me because i am a die hard HP fan) stephanie meyer has me seriously wishing for my own vampire boyfriend…i would even settle for a werewolf although, a vampire would be preferd
. i am extremly excited for the first movie and i hope that they make movies for all of the books because that would rock my socks 
and im soooo happy with most of the cast they have chosen for twilight. robert pattison (or is it pattinson?) is effing sexy so shut up lol. hes guna look ever sexier wen hes all vampd out

I am a middle school English teacher – everyone responding – your grammar is killing me = )Anyhow – when a student of mine suggested the book I put it off for awhile. Reread the entire HP Series – then was very sad not to have a new series. SO I started Twilight and can honestly say – it replaced HP as my favorite books ever! Yes – I am older but this young romance is so amazing.
I am excited for the movie – especially because all the high school scenes are being filmed at the high school I used to teach at – Kalama, WA – but I am a little disappointed with the actors cast as Esme and Carlise. I watch Grey’s Anatomy and I really am not a big fan of Elizabeth Reaser – I think Kate Beckinsale would have been much better. Also – Peter Francinelli with blonde hair – not so sure about that.
Anyhow – as I always tell my students – the movie is NEVER as good as the book – but I
will still be in line opening night!

i have been watching this sight for a few days (just finished reading the comments) and i have been trying to get it off my mind when i read it (in the sad parts) i just want to put it down but if i take my eyes off it (including now) it is ALL i think about. since i started i cannot stop! i tried to get it off my mind by wactching tv (and barrowing my lil’ sisters computer wicth i still am. tot lol!). i turned on the tv and sure enough a vampire cartooon is on! EEEEEERRRRRRRGGGGG! AND I LOST THE EFFING REMOTE! i have read these books like only twice each. my mom actually called me a vampire. cause i didnt get out much except skool, so i am VERY pale and now my mom wants me to see a guidence conslear cause im “scaring her with my obsetion” these books have given me NOTHING but trouble. but if my mom sends me to a mental hospital i will still bring all three books (might as well make the looniness complete!) i should stop reading the books around her but it is just like when edward leaves bella in the third book. he is only gone for a few hours at a time but she cant stand them being apart (like i said obsesive). and one last thing, tiggers right even if how she said it isnt! so sexy!!!

anyways. Twilight is definitely worth reading, but i understand your stalling..
when Harry Potter was still a novelty and not very well known, i was given the first book. i had it for two months before i got around to reading it… and promptly grew attached to the series. along with, later, the rest of the world.
when you do get around to it, i think you’ll realize why a lot of people are so infatuated with it. Meyers has a way of writing so clearly that it hits home.. she is able to manipulate our emotions to love Edward for his affections, hate Jacob for his arrogance, yet feel his pain at the end of New Moon. and really, that is all good writing is; the ability to manipulate a readers emotions to make them able to connect to the characters.
i’m not obsessed with Edward or Jacob or anyone from the book, but my god i wish people were actually like that. mysterious and interesting. dedicated. there are far and few among us who can pull off that type of old-fashioned chivalry.
thus the reason why he’s a vampire; having him be from an entirely different century helps with the whole charisma thing.
i definitely agree that its the IDEA of Edward, not the character itself, that girls are madly attracted to.
everyone wants someone to love them unconditionally. leech or not.
and i say that in the most loving way.

Burn the book? This is getting out of hand. Tell this conslear its just a bloody book and she had better do her job and find the real problem, which isn’t the book but whatever psychological hole the book is filling. If that hole is filled with something less impulsive then the book will be read for enjoyment instead of obsession.

And I promise, if you liked Leven Thumps you will like the book. In fact, I am shocked that you brought Leven up. I’m reading Gateway to Foo now. Literally, I am shocked, because out of all the authors you could have named, Obert Skye has a writing style closest to mine.
It’s like saying Twilight is – a vampire and a girl fall in love in this novel from Stephenie M. – and thinking that’s all there is 
Besides, it’s virtually impossible to sum up a book in 1 sentence like in the press page. It does sound a bit droll if that’s all that really happens in the book.

By the way, I have to say I also bought the book long before reading it. Several of my friends told me I should read it, but I never got around to it. Then I borrowed it from a friend and had it for a couple months before she asked for it back. Finally I bought it, and it sat around for another few months. Eventually I read it…Don’t follow my example.

=) Mine’s far from a vampire romance. More to do with secret societies. I’m attempting to make it as original as I possibly can, so the best genre I could probably assign to it is fantasy, and that’s really broad (as well as a very sketchy calling it “fantasy”). I’m 15 and I started it almost a year ago, and I’m not nearly done, so at least I have time before I even really think about publication.

Great. I start my book when I was 14 too. They call it urban fantasy, since its got magic but not with swords and knights, more like a fantasy in a modern setting. good thing you’re starting now. I’m so glad I started this book when I was 14 or else I might have put it off and not really done it

I never really knew the definition of an “urban fantasy” but I suppose mine is sort of like that. I’m trying to keep the magic to a minimum, though. I love reading about it, but writing about it in a way that’s decent is much harder than it sounds. I’m going more with conspiracy.

@Sophie: sounds cool. magic is always hard to write realistically. finding out what magic *can’t* do fixes most of it though, so it’s not a free-for-all. Plots and conspiracies. I love writing about government plots and high crime involving magic in a modernish fantasy world. always fun.

Honestly, I prefer Jacob over Edward. Edward just seems….too perfect. Though, I liked Jacob better before he became a werewolf. (not that I don’t love werewolves, I just didn’t like his personality change and the fact he grew so fast he HAD to be on steriouds.) Anyway, I’m really excited for the movie! I just started the series a few days ago and I’m HOOKED. It’s like a frickin’ addiction.

it’s about a magical dream realm sorta thing called foo, and this boy, girl and toothpick (leven, winter and geth) have to get there and then destroy the gateway. there are only 2 ways to get to foo. you have to be on a mismatched street corner, the temp. being exactly divisable by 7, when a shooting stat goes by. or you can go to germany and use the gate way. some evil guy named sabine (who dies i guess u could say in the end, sorta) is plotting to take down foo so he can rule both. but w/o dreams there is no hope so all will perish. there is a lot more to it (this is only a summery of the 1st book) more characters and hidden meanings. u’ll understand why the heck they put all these “irrelevent” facts in book 3. it’s great if u love fantacy! well we’ll be dammed if that doesn’t answer you question Katerina.

for everyone who is saying that Robert Patterson or whatever his name is who is playing edward in the movie isnt hot enough. of coarse hes not. its a movie. in the book. edward is described as inhumanely beautiful. so obviously no one is going to be perfect. i mean. come on. every single person has a different mental image.

the only down side of the books is for girls, after they read it. they convince themselves that they are in love with edward. [myself included] and for a couple days its kinda hard not to compare every guy to him. but he isnt real. soooooooo. you just have to realize he is fictional. as much as we dont want him to be. and move on.
i do not agree that twilight is better than harry potter. they are two completely different books. so its hard to compare….
but they are both amazing.
so ill just go ahead and say they are equal.

you know its intereting how it seems that half the fans love jake and half hate him.! i think hes a pit pushy but i still like him. steph put him into character really well.i laughed out loud when the tent scene happed (with jake trying to keep bella warm in front of edward) in eclipse.

in a werewolf mask you ur mouth is hidden by fur so there is less work when you teach the computer to identify and follow ur mouth. i’m not exactly sure how to make my face pastey white and my teeth sharp while still making it look remotely like me. in the werewolf mask you dont need to look the same it’s a complete transformation. long storie short, i’ll work on it.

I realized this morning:
1. There are at least 4 mentions of Stephenie Meyer on the front page of MY blog
2. There are only 2 posts about MY book on the front page of MY blog.
3. Within 6 hours of posting about my email from Stephenie’s brother, 3 Twilight fansites, a edward cullen forum and even a daniel radcliffe forum all linked to me.
4. When I post about my book, since it is not out, nobody honestly gives a rot.

Since everyone has read Twilight, my future readers will thus be Twilight fans at the same time. And since I idolize Stephenie Meyer, why not constantly write about her :p She’s everything I dream of being one day. And I am planning to read the book very soon (well, chapter 2 at least

there is a new harry potter book!!! the tales of beetle and bard (mentioned in the deathly hollows). there is a sweepstakes at amazon.com where you and a friend can spend a week in london w/ the book. the significants is she might not publish the book and it is hand writen. it is sooo awesome, but you have to wear gloves when you read it. kind of weird but you win by answering tree questions in less than 100 words. best answer wins. i know i’m a geek for hearing about a harry potter and freaking out, but thats me!

hey guys! i told my friend kathryne (the only people who hasn’t finished twilight)how i was rereading twilight and i was at the part where edward attacks bella (i didn’t mention that he just did it to scare her and he didn’t hurt her at all. look it up in book 1 pg 344-346) and she was like, “OMG!!! he actually tries to hurt her?!?!?!?” and i was all like, umm… sure… “yeah, that’s exactly what happened.” she read the book like crazy trying to get to that part, because she had to return the book to the library before school ended. she wouldn’t talk to anyone all school day and she read at all givin times, even during lunch (not that i didn’t do that when i was reading it the first time) it was hilarious! she was reading that book for three months and was only half done and she read more in one day than she had all school year (you’re stupid if you think i’m kidding). then she got to that part and read through it in english (a class we have together). i saw her looking particularly annoyed when reading.
after class i left quickly, but kathryne was first. long story short, my head hurts really bad now.
P.S. i won a penny! i bet chealse i could finish twilight before she could finish new moon. i was broke at the time so we bet a penny. (i loaned her my copy of new moon and then bet her so she’d read faster and i would get my book back, but that is ‘un autre ennuyeux et irrelevent histoire.’ look up what that means (hint: it’s french)

Poor Kaleb, I can’t imagine what it must have been like going through all of those comments without going nuts. I just can’t understand why people can’t talk without “omg”s and drooling on their keyboards when the topic is Edward or Twilight. I think they can’t even enjoy reading the books wihout working rational parts of their brains. It’s not healthy.
Of course, when I read the books first time, I had trouble with sleep (having weird Twilight dreams)and was a little grumpy when someone disturbed me while reading. I’m a great fan as well. But there must be a great difference between “fans” and “maniacs” who are ruling the world and killing Twilight fandom at rapid speed.
Forgive me my rambling, I was just shocked when I saw that the number of comments on this post was over 700 while your normal count is way lower. It’s almost terrifying.

i agree i love Stephenie Meyer’s books. And i can’t wait until her fourth and fifth book come out but i have a little problem with the movie. i want to see how different and same it is from the book but then again i don’t. because when i read her books it was during the time my boyfriend went to jail and everything was so serious i was afraid i’d never be able to even hug him again. so when i read her books, for some odd reason, they touched me more then i expected. I fell in love with edward’s character because that’s exactly how my boyfriend is. hahaha except for the vampire part, ofcourse. but i read them deep into the night by candlelight. I know movies can’t always catch the full meaning of a book. So i don’t want to hate the book later on just because of the movie. But my co-worker told me it would be good if i saw it to see how much better the book is. So when it comes out here i come.

This comment is for those people that have decided that Robert Pattinson is “not good looking or talented enough” to be Edward. Of the hundreds or so who tried out for that role…he was the one person that got it. So, obviously the person in charge of filling that role thought he was both attractive enough and talented enough.
I hope that every single person rude enough to make a comment like that applies for a job one day. And the person in charge of hiring says “So, you are the best suited, you have the skills and experience we are after. But, that person over there with no skills, talent or experience is way more attractive…so they get the job. Thanks for trying though and have a nice day.”
In response to the “who really thinks he’s attractive anyway?” question. I know quite a few people that think that, I happen to be one of them. As for talent….maybe you should give the guy a chance and not judge him on the one really popular movie he was in…he’s been in other less famous ones as well…not that you’d know that. Too busy insulting the guy to bother noticing he has talent. I suggest you all just suck it up….there are 4 books so odds are that means 4 movies. And they have their Edward. If you dont like it dont watch the damn movies.

OMG these books are just so amazing. I read all 4 books twice in 3 weeks. I had to work all day and I could not consentrate on my work just thinking of the books. I didn’t want to eat or sleep just read. I am so in love with Edward. I got my mom to read it and she loves the books too now my nice and my sister are reading the books as well. these books are AMAZING.. they boost your Imagination and your fantacy world!!!. Me being the age 19 still young till this makes me want to go out and adventure and maybe just maybe ill find love like that! yeah right not today world heh.. no but i suggest u read the books and not watch the movie first beacuse the books are way better then the movie and it explains A hell lot better why certain things are going on.. but im sure everyone knows that.

YES!! i'm so excited now Twilight coming in theatres WHOOT!! i read Twilight in 9th grade and now i'm reading Eclipse finally! ya i'm so happy now i'm gunna watch it when it comes out on my b-day!

Wow…Guys, some of you are being super obsessive here. Really proving the theory of OCD (Obsessive Cullen Disorder)
Its ridiculous how some of you just swoon over him. Of course, I think its ridiculous to swoon over ANYONE fictional or not.
I did read Twilight though, and went through a four day obsession.
(Read Twilight on the last day of July, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn on August First, and Breaking Dawn on opening night)
And I did feel a bit defensive over my favorite character (Edward) and had a permanent grudge against Jacob.
But honestly, the plot's okay, but the writing is crap.
Stephen King totally had a point when he said that “Meyer can't write worth a damn”

I just finished breaking dawn and it was the only time I read a series of books and was satisfied with the end. I loved every word on every page. they were some of the best books that i read in a very long time. I sure hope a movie is made for each book. It would be a shame if those that are not committed to reading will miss the things that happens to bella,edward and jacob. veryn good writing by stephanie meyers.i look forward to reading something else written by her.
