Me and My Ringtones

I can’t stand a boring ringtone for my phone- one of those default one’s that come with it and signals to the world I’m either too busy (the truth) or I am too non-cellphone-savy to know how to change it (the un-truth). I’m also certainly not paying internet fees and any more than a penny to buy one that’s no good anyway- all they have is Beyonce and Shakira on there anyway, neither of which I want to broadcast any further than they already are. So I have resorted to making my own.
To make your own cell phone ringtone, you’ve got to have some computer recording software ($100 or so), and an external Sandisk memory card ($25), and a Sansa mp3 player ($90) and put it all together (alright, nobody say anything about my one penny ringtone rule, I had all this stuff anyway) I just take a music track, cut off a small snippit of it, sync it to the card while it is in my Sansa, and then move the card to my cell.
Some people have certain tones specific for when they call, but most are introduced with this, compliments of the one and only Kenye West:
I need ya right now! Next, when my mom or home calls, I make use of this tone from Angels and Airwaves just cause it’s cool:
I was in a pizza shop once and I kept hearing this Angels and Airwaves song, and I actually started to complain: what commercial on TV keeps repeating that song! It was my mom calling me, repeatedly…
If Britney Spears happens to call, here’s what I get from her:
On the same thought, I had to prepare for a call from Those Who Do Not Wish To Be American Idiots:
When I’m out, I considered using this as my voicemail message:
Hmm
