Good Charlotte – Dance Floor Anthem

They’re back, and they’re better than ever. For someone who detests Good Charlotte so much, I have quite a list of their songs that I hated at first but in the end, begrudgingly landed a spot on my Sansa. I don’t know what exactly it is with them, but I hate the songs at first, only to later lighten up enough to like them.

The same happened with this track (click the button). I hated it so much I didn’t even get to the chorus, until that fateful day when my radio was on at just the right time, in the middle of the song. This is pretty good, thought me to myself, unknowingly confessing to liking a song from a group I had previously believed to be the second-in-line as America’s Next Top Poser. They’ve obviously got some cash flow from the label going into this lead single, and for the longest time it wouldn’t leave my head, always a good sign. I like his launch into the chorus as well (EV-EE-BOD-EEY!).

The might have made this better in being a bit more creative, AKA instead of just replacing she with he for most of the second verse, though I suppose that’s the way it goes with anthems, something I must admit Good Charlotte does almost flawlessly.

Good Charlotte‘s new song Dance Floor Anthem (I Don’t Want To Be In Love) from the album Good Morning Revival. Tell me what you think!

    omigod! i love this song!
  • It's okay. I don't really like his voice in this song. It's too high and squeaky-ish.

The only songs I've heard from Good Charlotte that I like are The Anthem and Girls Don't Like Boys (I haven't heard many from them, though).
